Tours may include:

We will take you on a fully guided tour of our dairy shed.  You will be up close to the cows watching the robots milking the cows.  You may have curious cows coming up for a pat or watch the cows have a rest at the "moo-ty salon", the automated brush which massages their backs and brushes their hair.  We will explain the process of how our New Zealand dairy products start in the paddock with healthy soil and grass and turn into the delicious products that you eat and drink.  What are you interested in?  There will be plenty of time to ask Farmer Greg, Farmer Amy or Farmer Flynn any questions.  We can show you and explain the technical information on each cow, animal breeding, best environmental and organic practices, health and welfare and calving time.  Walk through a paddock and touch the grass, hear how we manipulate the Grazeway and ABC system so cows have access to fresh pasture throughout the day and night.  If you are there at the time, watch a Fonterra tanker collect the milk and learn how the automatic system washes the vat.  Tours generally last 30-45 minutes.  We recommend a start time of 10.30am as the cows come to milk when they want to (we don't round them up) and this is the time we have noticed that there will always be cows waiting for milking.

Please note:  these are all examples of what happens on our farm.  Some activities are seasonal, weather dependent or time of day dependent.   When you enquire let us know what you are mostly interested in so we can endeavour to make it happen!  We will tailor your tour to your interests.  Check our photo page
