We are a family owned and operated certified organic dairy farm in the Manawatu, between Palmerston North and Feilding. We introduced the Lely Astronaut system to our Friesian cows in July 2016. Our clever, contented cows now walk to and from the milking shed voluntarily to be milked by the robots, without human intervention (often they wait for their favourite robot) up to three times a day, day and night, then they stroll back to the paddock after milking. Our stars of the book, Tinkly and Smoochy are both now 13 years old and enjoying retirement on our farm, however Smoochy loved her milking life so much that she is back in the herd in 2024. Visit our farm and you may get to pat her.
